ASC geosciences, inc. provided Construction Materials Testing and Threshold Inspection Services for the Doctor’s Memorial Replacement Hospital project.  The 48-bed replacement hospital provides the community of Taylor County with a new state-of-the-art facility totaling 96,000 square feet. The hospital's services include orthopedics, obstetrics, cardiology, and an expanded emergency room.

ASC geosciences provided Construction Materials Testing and Threshold Inspection Services during the construction of the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center expansion and renovation project.  The 247 bed acute care facility is located on the Emerald Coast of Florida.  The completion of the expansion and renovation project included the opening of Okalossa/Walton Counties first open heart surgery program, six new operating room suites, a new Progressive Care wing, Intensive Care/Coronary Care Unite, a new MRI/Cat Scan Suite, a new dedicated Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit and two Cardiac Catheterization Labs.

ASC geosciences is currently providing Threshold Inspection Services for the new state-of-the-art facility.  The center will total nearly 80,000 square feet, and will include eight scientific teams, a clinic, imaging center, and space for community events.  Once completed, the Johnnie B. Byrd, Sr. Alzheimer’s Center and Research Institute will be the largest institute in the world dedicated entirely to the illness. The ground breaking ceremony was held on 1 March 2005, construction is expected to be completed in 2006.

ASC geosciences provided Construction Materials Testing Services for the 33,000 square foot, free-standing cancer center.  The Cancer Center site encompasses 15 acres on North Lakeland Hills Boulevard, near I-4. 

The facility will house radiation therapy and chemotherapy services, a laboratory, physician offices and exam rooms.  Areas will be dedicated to community education, a resource library, providing complementary therapies such as nutrition and music and other support services. 

The facility opened in January 2003.

ASC provided Construction Materials Testing and Threshold Inspection services for the nine-story, 260,000 sq ft “B” Wing addition.

The 32 months of construction began with a 30’ deep excavation for the basement under the Bed Tower that houses food service operation for the entire campus.

The “B” Wing project is part of an overall capital improvements program at LRMC.

ASC geosciences provided  Construction Materials Testing and Threshold Inspection Services for the 350,000 sq ft parking structure located on the northwest side of the hospital campus.  The garage consists of 983 parking spaces and was completed in 2002.

ASC performed on the expansion program which includes a new 498-space parking garage and the addition of 165,000 sq ft.

The first floor of the new building includes a new lobby, admitting areas, as well as a surgery center. The second floor has 14 new operating rooms and 18 PACU beds, a lobby, a conference room, and locker rooms. Surgery, including 38 beds, eight Phase 3 recovery areas, four new endoscopy labs and waiting areas make up the third floor. The Intensive Care Unit with 24 beds will be located on the fourth floor.

Renovations in the existing facility includes the Laboratory, Pharmacy, and a new 40-bed Out Patient Unit.  A power plant expansion is also scheduled.

ASC geosciences, inc. provided Construction Materials Testing and Threshold Inspection services for the expansion and renovation of  the Palms of Pasadena Hospital.  The project will more than double the size of the emergency department and add two new floors with 90 beds.  The three-phase project will add a total of 38,977 new square feet.
