Geotechnical Engineer
Our Lakeland and Tampa offices are seeking outgoing, responsible Geotechnical Engineers with 1 to 3 years of geotechnical experience. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four year university is required. A Masters degree in Engineering is highly desirable, but not required. Responsibilities include management of design and construction phase geotechnical projects, geotechnical analyses, report preparation, client relations management, as well as supervising field & lab technicians. Excellent communication skills and computer literacy are a must. Field Technicians
Positions require good driving record and satisfactory drug test. Positions available for entry level and experienced field technicians. Responsibilities include field and laboratory soil, concrete, asphalt, structural steel testing/inspection. ACI certification and construction experience preferred. Successful candidates must be able to lift up to 75lbs., operate hand tools, and work variable hours (as needed).

Director of Geoenvironmental Services
ASC geosciences, inc. is seeking a leader to support the development and growth of our Geoenvironmental business.  We are looking for a leader with a desire and ability to lead staff, interact with clients - future, present, and past, regulators, and support growth in the Florida marketplace.  This position will work closely with other senior managers to reinvent our Geoenvironmental business.  This position will offer the qualified candidate the opportunity to provide oversight and management of multiple, complex projects (simultaneously).

Responsibilities may include:

  • Serve as ASC geosciences' technical and financial leader of Geoenvironmental sciences.
  • Ensure that quality, timely completion, client satisfaction, and financial performance objectives are met for all projects and work.
  • Provide high level technical and problem solving consultation on complex projects.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, from developing proposals and budgets, to contract administration.
  • Lead a workgroup of 2-4 environmental scientists.

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience working for an Environmental consulting firm.
  • Demonstrated experience to create and lead a diverse group to support and compliment existing successful business.
  • A BS from an accredited college/university with major in geology, engineering, or environmental science is required. Advanced degree a plus.
  • A PG or PE registration a plus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry and thorough understanding of federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations.
  • Excellent technical writing and public communication skills.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity, and dealing with change.
